So as you guys should remember, on September 29th, 2011 I was invited to speak at a discussion panel event called Battle of the Sexes inside Nightingale Lounge in Manhattan, NYC which I was [and still am] very proud to be invited to, being a Canadian blogger being asked to participate in an event in the US. But the reality was, being invited wasn’t JUST good enough – I wanted to challenge everyone in there with my particular brand of un-common senseand then kick some intellectual ass [and that I DID].

A lot of people [read: women] were trying to hate on my points, so sometimes it was me versus the room, until I hit them with some undeniable logic, and left them speechless while I stood with my speech-impediment having ass on the stage like:

Anyways, enough talking from me, here’s the video:

This was just the first half and YES it was shot from the audience perspective hence you hearing the talking and the non-tripod camera movement, but you get the general point and vibe of the night. It was a GREAT event and hopefully I will be back in NYC sooner than later. Also, if you look up, you will see I have an EVENTS section now, which I will be using to keep y’all updated on where I will be.

I really wanna thank Goddess Intellect [@goddess_I] for putting on an amazing show, Nightfall [@TrueOmegaNexus] for being a wicked co-host, Slim [@slimjackson] for coming out, Angie [@angielala] for being mad cool and wearing a short dress that showed her long legs, Evie [@evierobbie] for being Mrs. ThisIsYourConscience and keeping it real with the women there. Also it was nice to meet my man Charles and his lovely lady who came out and showed love, and Steph, Regina, Ronnette, Ms. Santos, and Miss R [girl in the double pink who looked like she was gonna assault a negro] for coming and keeping it real as hell.

Until the next event…

  4. HerCommonSense

The video was shaky but I got the gist of it and it definitely looked like a fun night (where those gift bags I saw in the back?) and I definitely think that gorgeous young lady in the yellow dress was keeping it very real as well.

  5. ATLienSince82

Let me guess..the female in the pink is from BK???

  6. ATLienSince82

Bruh we were eye-to-eye on everythang..

Yawl need to come do one of them type shows here in ATL and give some of these stuck up females a reality check!

  7. Dollabill

That looked like a good show. I would've had fun there.

  8. ATLienSince82

You Telling Me? A few of them females coulda got it!

  9. AllTruMan

As someone who attended the event, all I'd say is if the show comes to your town, you should make sure you're there. Especially if you're a single dude. The sistas kept it 100.

  10. Dollabill

I'm sayin, Angie lala needed to stand up and show them legs.

  11. HerCommonSense

I think a tour is in order.

  12. HerCommonSense

    She's very attractive indeed.

  13. It was a great show and truth is truth Blades more then held his own with some of NY's best on the panel and much opposition in the crowd. I hear folk mentioning a tour? Interesting I gotta holla at the boss Goddess I about that.

  14. The_Mad_HATER

  17. MzDebbieFields

It sounds like a lot of those women aren't getting their daily dose of Vitamin D regularly enough

  18. MistaHarsh

Good points. I like how you laid in the cut and only spoke when you had something that was 100% undeniable to say. Concise and to the point.

I find it funny how the women where up in arms whenever men made comments about what they like sexually like it was a personal attack on each and every woman in the room.

That girl on the left was the realest women in the room. She kept it honest w/o the male vs female hate.

  19. MzDebbieFields

the sexy one in the yellow??

  20. Independent Woman

I always knew you were Bi..

  21. Independent Woman

  24. MistaHarsh

  25. hahaha loved the comments…Evie and Ronette were hilarious they def should be on the panel next time…Lincoln held it down for the men but I believe that the ladies held it down this time! It's all love though:) can't wait to do it again!

  27. Vanity

  28. Vanity

That's my inside voice, naturally how I sound & my experiences would be different from ur experiences, not always about accuracy.

We all encounter different things and hold them as truths until someone {or yourself} changes the experience or are exposed to something different better or worse

  42. HerCommonSense

    Agreed.

  43. HerCommonSense

    Co-Sign you on this point.

  44. Kizzy

  45. Kizzy

Lala was so funny and real! Lincoln you're a jerk in real life too and that other guy put me to bed like J. Holiday zzzzzzzzzz *Boring!* Someone needed to hit the snooze button when he was blabbering on!

  46. MeikaC

Ok! It's official I need to clone Lincoln! Good job Lincoln, and Evie holding it down for the ladies. Both of you were spot on and really are forcing me to re-evaluate all the rules I've created in my head regarding relationships. I am so upset with myself for missing this event in my backyard. Please let us know when you are back in NYC.

P.S. Do all men think like you Lincoln and not tell us or are you schooling them right now, because I'm yet to meet one who even comes close to you in the thought process or even has the slightest clue on how to articulate it. Just wondering.
