Happy new year TIYC sports fans – but it’s a sad day too: Week seventeen A.K.A. the END of the NFL regular season. We still got the playoffs to look forward to, but the fact that we are a serious step closer to NO more football is slightly depressing. But thank GOD for the fact that we had some crazy ass games to look forward including Tebow making the playoffs and the Giants slapping the Cowboys right out the playoff hunt (and maybe Jason Garrett out of a job).
1) Giants IN, Cowboys OUT
Dear Jerry Jones, changes NEED to be made in Dallas because your ‘Boys needed to win that game to make the playoffs and y’all lied down and let the Giants rape and abuse you. I keep saying that the ‘Boys are the most confusing team in the league because they have all the talent in the world, yet can’t overcome themselves to win. I think JON GRUDEN might be the answer to push that team over the hump no matter HOW hard Jerry keeps “supporting” Jason.
2) Broncos IN, Raiders OUT
My sorry ass Raiders got our ASSES kicked by the Chargers even though we just needed the Broncos to lose to the Chiefs WHICH THEY DID. Let me say this though: I am EXCITED to see Tebow in the playoffs – and even MORE excited to see what John Elway is gonna do with him and in the draft now that he’s lead them to a division title in his FIRST year starting at QB.
3) Big Up The Bengals
Even though you LOST to the Ravens this week, you still managed to get a wild card spot which you deserve ULTIMATE props for, because a lot of people (like me) said your team wasn’t going a DAMN place without Carson Palmer and we were ALL dead wrong. In fact, I think the Bengals stand a GREAT chance at beating the Texans in the first round of the playoffs.
4) I Will Say It ONCE More: Matt Flynn Is Gonna Get PAID
Even though the game meant nothing to either team, the Packers beat the Lions 45-41 but the big story was Matt Flynn breaking two HUGE Packers QB records by throwing for 480 yards and 6 TD’s – AND he’s a free agent this summer. F*^K Andrew Luck, FLYNN is the big acquisition for this summer.
5) Good Bye Jason Taylor
Though he will probably be best known for being a pretty-boy Jason Pitts lookalike from Dancing With The Stars, Jason Taylor deserves some serious recognition for the Hall of Fame (even if not first ballot). 139.5 career sacks (6th all time) and doing it on a team that isn’t that great is IMPRESSIVE as hell.
6) F*^K The JETS
I don’t care about Sanchez, Santonio’s drama, Rex’s mouth or ANY of that garbage. The Jets are the most over-hyped and under-talented team in the NFL. Besides Revis their D is sh*t, and Sanchez is proving incapable of running a professional offense (even after I defended him earlier this year). In short, until they get more talented next year, F*^K the JETS.
7) Congrats Jared Allen
22 FRIGGIN sacks in one year HAS to equal NFL Defensive Player of the Year.
Wildcard Playoff Predictions
AFC
The Broncos will BEAT the Steelers in Denver. This is my upset special.
The Bengals will BEAT the Texans. I don’t trust Jake Delhomme as the 4th string starter now that Yates is out.
NFC
The Saints will BEAT the Lions in New Orleans. Brees is ON FIRE.
The Giants will BEAT the Falcons.

you had me until you said the broncos who couldn't score a touchdown on the same team that beat the packers will beat the steelers. in the playoffs. (im presuming in pitts).
that would be one HELLUVA upset.
oh and allow me one last bwhahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa at cowboys fans who talked THEEEE most amount of garbage at me this season. putting aside that philly beat dal twice, doesn't matter the record if you are home watching playoffs like the rest of the NFC East (cept NYG of course). i am a happy girl today.

@MOTRenaissance
Cowboys organizationally gotta let their balls go… Jerry Jones gotta find talented people, and let them be… Not talentless puppets… Get a legit #1 coach…
I see Tebow pulling that one out also…
Denver D, playing out of their collective minds… Ball control… Ben's Ankle… Mile High atmosphere…
This game SCREAMS Tebow Time pulling it out in the 4th & the TebowMania catches fire again… Fan-Tastic… And that is really going to put the Broncos organization in a pickle… Because of the hype that comes with that potential playoff win…

I Know It's A WILD Long Shot, But With Rothlisberger Can't Pick Apart The Broncos D, Especially On ONE Leg, And Mendenhall Is GONE With An ACL Tear. It's Gonna Be A Low Scoring Game And I Think Tebow Can Pull It Out.

Well the stars are aligned for Tebow to win but if you haven't noticed God hasn't answered Tebow's calls in 3 weeks.Tebow was just a booty call. Plus if he can't score against KC he ain't scoring against a playoff tested-James Harrison-QB-concussioning- Steelers.

1. I don't see Jon Gruden putting himself in a postition to be Jerry's beeyotch. Cowboys need new leadership at QB. Wasn't anyone else disturbed at Romo's expressions after making horrible throws? It was like he just finished watching Kevin Hart freestyle. Dude has no sense of accountability.
2. Glad Orton won. I say he's still the better QB. Tebow might be just a better person. I'd take talent over morality anyday in the confines of sports. Tebow's true calling maybe as Bishop Eddie long's replacement. There might be more money in it too…
3. Chargers are probably kicking themselves knowing they should have been in the playoffs if it weren't for bonehead plays by their QB
4. Matt Flynn = Matt Cassel nuff said. But he will get a job no doubt but he'll fizzle.
5. lol I always thought that dude WAS Jason Taylor. Didn't he leave football to pursue an acting career then he came back?
7. Sacks alone make you Defensive player of the year? If so why is your team 3-13. I'm going for Pierre-Paul cause he stepped in and replaced a major piece of the Giant's D and he played BETTER plus he had 20 more tackles than Allen and Giants are in the playoffs
