Here is a fact that most people in Toronto are VERY aware of (and people coming to Caribana from out of town should be aware of as well): Right now the gang violence in the city is getting out of control. Young, wannabe thugs are going hard on the Wangsta-tip, and it’s making typical, frowsy events give you a lot more to worry about than just smelling expired dumpling batter in some musty chicks lacefront. With that said, Caribana weekend is a great time of the year to go out and have fun, but you just need to be MORE selective about where you choose to enjoy yourself. So if you are looking for something SAFE, full of GROWN-ASS MATURE ADULTS, that is free of all FROWSINESS and MUCH different than standing inside a large, impersonal nightclub, I have JUST the event for you.

On Friday, August 3rd, ThisIsYourConscience.com and RFlavour will be kicking off the Carnival weekend with our monthly Dead Wit Laugh comedy show – we’ll be keepin’ it Caribbean with the return of our friend Marc Trinidad. Here’s some clips from the first show with Marc in June:

This event should be very interesting because I got people coming from all over North America and the West Indies, MANY of who I’ve only chatted with on this site, so it’s almost like a mimi TIYC link-up.
