I had a discussion last night with one of my friends and we were discussing how we could NEVER take back a woman who cheated on us. Hearing him talk from a very Macro perspective was very interesting as he described his pride being hurt by her actions and how he could never trust her again – but me being a very Micro person, I decided to come at it from a very specific perspective that actually made my friend even MORE upset at the concept of having someone cheat on him – and after YOU read YOU might feel the same way too.
For me, the large and obvious parts of cheating are BAD, but they don’t fully encompass the absolutely incredulous RAGE you should have for someone upon hearing that they have disrespected you and your relationship in the ULTIMATE way. Because we choose to overlook the gritty, grimy, disgusting and dismaying details that comprise the act of CHEATING, so many of us find it much easier to attempt to forgive and forget – which is BS. So Ladies & Gentlemen, let me break it down for you [Men start reading the next paragraph, Ladies fast forward down the page to where I address you]:
So fella, you decided to take back your cheating ex huh? Well allow me to let you know what REALLY went down with her and ol’ dude so you can make a more INFORMED decision…
Your girl left the house one night – a night when you couldn’t get in touch with her because everytime she heard your ringtone or saw your name pop up in her phone she sent it straight to voicemail. The woman you LOVE went to the gas station and stood around pumping gas in her car while she shifted her panties around, already wet thinking about what Joe Grind was about to lay down. I don’t know about y’all but when I think about cheating, I take EVERY detail into account – it’s probably the most difficult and disgusting thing you will ever do, but it will give you a perspective into your significant other you should greatly cherish: An insight into the true depths of their nasty-a*s deceit.
I dare you to try and date them again after thinking about all that.

There are two combating themes here:
Selfishness and Pride.
Selfishness is why we cheat. You do something for solely your benefit. Selfishness runs so deep that you can lie, disrespect, and put yourself and other peoples health in danger, all because you have justified your needs to such a high extent, over so many other important things, things that even the cheater knows are more important that a nut. If someone can get down to the root of their selfishness and address it…a comeback is possible. As likely as going into the 4th down 20, but possible.
Pride is why its hard to take back a cheater. All the things you just described Lincoln, can go on with or without you. No matter how good your rich or puss is…
1) There is one better out there than you. I don't care how well and in tuned you are with someone, there is some random person out there, that will make your man's nuts empty, and yo girls jayjay gush like a fountain, WAY better than you.
2) Even if you are the best the difference between a 10 and a 9 isn't big enough to stop someone from having a grand ol time.
Galatians 6:4: Pay attention to your own work, for then you will get the satisfaction of a job well done and you wont need to compare yourself to anyone else. What that means is, dont take pride in anything that you have to compare your self with other to. Rather take pride good things you have done with and for others. That way when someone cheats, you realize its all about them and their refusal to sacrifice on your behalf. Thinking about it that way makes the pain sting less.
End of the day, if the cheater can address their selfishness, and the the victim (?) can address what they took pride in, then a comeback is possible.
F*ckin HARD but possible. Especially for a man, cause we don't expect women to be that selfish, but trust me…they are just as bad as us…

It's definitely not in my place to tell a man to leave his cheating girl or vice versa, but to say it's not up for me to have an opinion about is what I can't agree on.

I've been cheated on many times before and I've never taken any of them back. The funny thing is, they all came crawling back a month later. I think taking back someone who cheated on me and disrespected me like that is like disrespecting my own self. I also don't think I'll be able to deal with it – it'll always be in the back of my head no matter what and that will drive me crazy; it won't be healthy for the both of us (if you watch Jersey Shore, take Sam and Ron's relationship as an example). Listen, there is no right or wrong answer here. What works for one couple might not work for another. Some people work through cheating, others can barely stand it when their significant other even breathes the same air as the opposite sex. As a grown ass woman, I can't say I would or wouldn't take back someone who had cheated on me. But as said grown ass woman, I know that I would evaluate all of the possible reasons for and against (as well as stack up the whys hows and whens) before I made a decision either way. Just because someone has laid out some tawdry depiction as to "how it went down," doesn't make it law. Emotional affairs (without sex or physical interaction) can be just as devastating.
This is just one scenario. Like the roll of the dice, there are many, many other possibilities that could very well happen. Based on the unimaginative tableau played out above, I would make the assumption that these are "youts" and not "grown ass people."
it's all conjecture and we're just people talking about "if that was me" or "if that's how it went down" but we REALLY don't know how we'll react in a situation until we get there.

That too! I watched the females my ex ran between and followed their convos on FB and it was so clear who he was w/ that week. I guess its not cheating though if you know huh? Yes, I have been cheated on. Now as far as your next question, do you mean "actually broke up and then got back together" or do you mean "thought about it but decided to stay"? I will address both aspects.
As far as "actually broke up and then got back together", that happened with one guy and myself. He was the first guy I ever gave the nani to. There were rumors he was interested in another female, and when I approached him, he didn't confirm or deny the information, so I broke up with him. I had to say about three or four months down the line, he and I opted to give it another go. He made it seem like he had changed, but certain things weren't adding up, and one day, when he and I were to meet up with each other, I noticed passion marks all on his neck and bite marks and scratches on his neck and his arms. He tried to claim the passion marks were mosquito bites and that he had gotten into a fight earlier that day. Needless to say, I wasn't buying.
As far as the "thought about it but decided to stay", that occurred with the guy I was first engaged to. Certain things he was doing, like openly flirting with different females, didn't sit well with me, but I was trying not to take it too seriously because I'm thinking, "I'm the one he comes back to, claim he loves and wants to spend his life with." The relationship was quite the tumultuous one–at times he would threaten suicide if I left him (very unhealthy indeed). My breaking point was when I walked up on him sexing some female in his 85 Grey Maxima…so perhaps he was giving them the business after all; it just took seeing the action in my face for it to drive home.

My wife and I separated Last year September, I will agree I wasn’t true to myself and her.
