2012 NFL Week Three Review: Ravens Show HEART In Close Win

In the middle of Saturday night, Ravens wide receiver Torrey Smith woke up to the tragic news that his younger brother, Tevin Chris Jones, had just died riding his motorcycle on Route 672 when he ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a utility pole, according to Virginia State Police. In spite of the devastating news, Torrey made a last minute decision to play in the Sunday night primetime game against the Patriots – and had on the of the BIGGEST games of his entire career.

1) Ravens Rebound AGAIN

Not only did Torrey have a great game, but the Ravens rebounded from their PATHETIC loss to the Eagles last week. But the really story of the game is gonna be THIS:

Bill Belichick put his PAWS on the ref and THAT’S gonna be a SERIOUS fine and possible suspension for him. He grabbed the ref because the game winning kick by the Ravens looked like it was MISSED to everyone on the field, except the winning team and the replacement refs, but NOW there’s a SERIOUS problem – have the refs OFFICIALLY lost all the coaches and players respect?

2) I DARE You To Say You KNEW The CARDINALS Would Be 3-0

After SOUNDLY beating the Eagles 27-6, the Cards are undefeated and NO ONE predicted that would happen. They’ve beaten 2 really talented teams and it’s fair to say that the turnover-machine that is Michael Vick NEEDS to change his game play, because this pocket passing BS is NOT working out. Oh, the Cards are SECOND in the league in sacks, so that defence is BALLING out right now.

3) It’s Time To Recognize Matty Ice Is One Of The BEST QB’S In The League

Matt Ryan is leading the Falcons impeccably right now, and it seems as if he’s about to come into his own [along with the help of Julio Jones]. They are undefeated and Matt Ryan is simply playing amazing – and if he keeps it up, the Falcons may actually win a playoff game this year.

4) The Bills May Be Officially F*^KED

It was nice to see the Bills rebound in week two, after being blown out by the Jets, and after watching them beat down the Browns, I was about to say that we may have written them off far too soon – and then Spiller AND Jackson went down with injuries. Although I’m not gonna knock Tashard Choice, it’s safe to say that they WON’T have the punch they NEED to keep winning. Tough break Buffalo.

5) Are The VIKINGS Tough – Or Are The Niners Not As Good As We Thought?

I watched this ENTIRE game and there was absolutely NO luck involved in this win – the Vikings just SLAPPED them. AD looks great, Ponder played well and their D locked the Niners up. I was waiting on San Fran to win this game so I could declare them far and away the best team in the league, but now we need to ask ourselves was this just ONE bad game – or have we been overrating them from the beginning?

We FINALLY win and avoid going 0-3 [like the FROWSY saints]. Thank GOD.

7) WTF Happened In Tennessee

If you have been watching the NFL for long enough, you remember THIS:

Which must have made you nostalgic as hell, when on Sunday you saw THIS:

But the really story of this crazy-ass game is gonna be the fact that the Lions elected to go with a QB sneak instead of kicking the game tying field goal in overtime. That was OFFICIALLY a bonehead decision, but I respect the fact he tried – actually, naw not really.

Monday Night Football Prediction: {Current Record 1-2}

– Because this week has been so crazy and unpredictable, I’m going against the FAVOURITES and choosing the Seahawks to beat the Packers in a weird, back and forth game.

Ladies & Gentlemen, How Did YOUR Team Play In Week Three?

    Any Good Stories I MISSED?

My team is the JETS (I'm on #LetTebowPutOnTheCapeAndSaveTheJets Watch). I was rooting for them to lose to the Dolphins barely on two missed field goals by.

    Arizona is NO JOKE.

I did pick the 49ers to win the SuperBowl. If I had some vegas money, I put it down. They were due for a letdown. And their quarterback is smart but average.

I felt like the Pats got robbed, that field goal looks HELLA questionable. But it is what it is.

Matty Ice should get the LeBron James #BeforeHeWonARing treatment. Eli Manning should get the Matty Ice treatment you are giving them now. 3-0 means nothing. The Packers were 15-1 & Patriots were undefeated in their respective seasons.

Dallas won barely, I'm ready to push the panic button. I think they WILL miss the playoffs.

      Them Cowboys look VERY shaky.

Arizona's Defense is great, Campbell is a beast but they won't make the playoffs they're similar to the Bills start last year.

I'm as convinced of Matt Ryan as you are of the multiple orgasm. They'll still choke as usual. I mean who did they face? KC,DEN SD c'mon son – and who are they playing in the next 3 games? CAR, WSH, OAK…you guys are going to say Matt Ice sweats gold builions next. In the passed 2 yrs ATL had the easiest schedule in the NFL.

As for the 49ers they need to start putting up points. They can't rely on this "Dont turn the ball over" offense. Also learn how to use Moss or cut his ass and get Plaxico. smh.

I feel sorry for the refs. They aren't even NFL refs how can you get mad at them. Get mad at the comissioner who thinks these inexperienced guys are acceptable.

I feel sorry for the refs too in the circumstance that it feels like the league is leaving them out on Revis island and not giving them enough serious support.

Chicago beat the Rams soundly, so I got nothing this week

The Bears are going through a lot of ups and downs, but they are still the best team in the NFC North in my opinion…

Them Rams got a lot more growing pains on O until they get some real playmakers up there
