The Battle Of The Sexes: Is Monogamy A MYTH?!

Last night as I was jogging on the treadmill at my local gym while watching TV, a news flash popped up on the news station I was viewing, announcing that Danny Devito and Rhea Perlman are getting divorced after 30 years of marriage. This seemed INCREDIBLY strange to me, because these are two of Hollywood’s most eccentric and least attractive celebs, which made them PERFECT for each other – and the fact that they decided to call it quits NOW in their advanced ages is so confusing to me. Now I don’t know exactly WHY they are separating, but it poses a VERY interesting question: Is Monogamy now, simply a MYTH?

Well please join me on Sunday, November 4th, 2012, to engage in a bold and energetic battle of the sexes conversation on monogamy in the new millennium. The topics include: Open Relationships, Religion, Infidelity, Polygamy, Celibacy, Safe Sex and more. Once again, I will be joining their expert panel of journalists, authors and motivational speakers as we delve deep into the issues and questions around monogamy. I will be joined by:

The inspirational TOSIN BELLO:

The extremely creative and talented ELLE SEON:

Monogamy is not a myth it's a personal decision you as an individual have to make and stand firm by it.

I feel you…but is that something people REALLY are willing to do anymore?

There are still some people out here men and women WHO truly believe in monogamy.. I am one of them!!! but like i said upthread, it's a decision that person has to make on their own and at the right timing, you can't force someone to be monogamous. For "THE ONE" that perfect person to him/her ANYONE can become monogamous.

The key is finding that "Perfect One" for you (whatever your interpretation of "perfect" is) so that monogamy would be something you wouldn't mind practicing – in this dating era it's not easy but it's still possible.

I don't think it is but I would say it is rare though. I'm sure there are some people who still practise it but it's never glorified. We see cheating in movies, songs, blogs and all other things so often that the little story about the guy or gall who stays true to their significant other hardly gets notice.
