Dead Wit Laugh - June 16!

So it came to my attention that Jeremy Lin may get voted on to the All-Star team, but why? This is almost as bad as when Yao Ming got in when he wasn’t even active due to a season ending foot injury. C’mon man, I’m not trying to be a hater, but while the kid in me still loves the ASG and it’s activities (plus it’s in my city this year) it just hasn’t really been good in recent years. The last time it was really good was in 2000 when Vince Carter took over. And please don’t say ‘no it was good when Blake won’ just because he jumped over the hood of the car. Hell, I think I could jump over the hood of the car and touch the net. Jump over the sunroof of a BMW, or jump over a Corvette and then we can talk. Also in the wonderful world of the NBA, Nash came back and the Lakers won…wow that is shocking! Ok enough sarcasm, tap me on the shoulder when they go on a win streak or get back into playoff contention because right now one win isn’t going to fix anything yet.

Thunder Up

They are winning and taking care of business while everyone talks about the Lakers, Clippers and Heat, they just go out and win. They ran my Spurs out the gym again, but I feel like the Thunder just understand what they need to do and if things continue they will be back in the Finals in June.

Nets/Knicks

So we have seen 3 games between these two teams in like 2 weeks, and honestly the NBA is really trying to make this a rivalry like movie studios are trying to make Lindsey Lohan relevant again…Chile please (in my Chad voice)! While it is good for New York to have a battle between the two boroughs, I just can’t seem to muster up enough care to be concerned. I watched the last game, and while it had it’s moments where it was entertaining, that was the best it got because I knew the Knicks were going to win.

Melo…Dark Horse For MVP

Melo has been ballin like Jim Jones’ only hit and for some reason I’d love to see him get the MVP. I feel like they will rob him just like they did to Jason Kidd when he took the Nets from the bottom of the East to the top (I’m still salty about that). We know Melo is the anti-image that Stern has been marketing for the NBA, but let it do what it do and as long as he keeps his play up while winning he deserves the award. Let that man be great!

Xmas Games

Heat v Thunder- One can only hope to have a competitive close game between these two teams to leave a yearning for more in the upcoming post-season. I have a feeling it will deliver and the Heat shooters plus Bron will be too much to contain so they will edge out a win.

Lakers v Knicks- With how bad the Lakers have been even in the game they played against each other a few weeks ago, I just want the game to be competitive. Knicks should win this game, but if they 3’s aren’t falling it will be a long night for them with plenty iso plays for Melo.

Celtics v Nets- This is the first game of the day, but with the way the Celtics have played and even the Nets. I just don’t have any excitement to watch this game, I will though. I have the Celtics winning this games especially if DWill continues to struggle offensively.

Clippers v Nuggets- I expect Lob City to be in full effect with the Clippers winning this matchup.

Rockets v Bulls- With the Rockets beating the Knicks last week I really don’t know what to expect from this team, but I will give them a shot and say they find a way to beat the Bulls. Harden will play well and if he and Lin can get on the same page offensively they will win without any doubt.
