A couple mornings ago, in between writing some blog posts, I logged onto Worldstarhiphop for some ratchetness to pass the time and slightly amuse me and I came across a video that THOROUGHLY disgusted and actually REALLY angered me. It was a video of some P*SSY-ASS Atlanta "thugs" waiting outside of a convenience store for a skinny-boy in skinny jeans - who they then beat the SH*T out of because he's gay, while the dude recorded kept screaming "No Faggots in JACK ... You B*tchmade, manicured-eyebrow having, Twilight trilogy DVD-buying, Kenny G CD-listening, nani-whipped MANGINA - how DARE you succumb to being a CUDDLE-BUDDY. Do you not realize that your actions do not just affect you alone, but have dire rippling repercussions on men WORLDWIDE? If you were born with male genitalia and you think being a cuddle buddy is OK, you need to get b*tch-slapped in the face with Michael ... Read More

Recently it has become harder and harder to be a Common fan with all the BS occurring lately. Now understand I have been a fan of his since I heard "Can I Borrow A Dollar" in 1993, but after the recent Maya Angelou fiasco (which she was RIGHT for getting up in his ass) and now this current corny beef with Drake, I now have to start hiding my face when I announce I like Common, the same way people in Buffalo ... One of the most ANNOYING, SELF-AGGRANDIZING & LOW-LIFE statements I've ever heard in my entire life as a member of the male species, is when some frowsy heffa approaches a man who she ASSUMES is interested in her, and proceeds to say some ignorant sh*t like "you know what, I'm not free this weekend so I think I can LET you come and take ME out." For those of you who haven't heard this story yet, NHL player Raffi Torres [of the Phoenix Coyotes] put on brown make-up to go to a Halloween party as his favourite emcee Jay-Z, while his girlfriend went as a pregnant Beyonce. Once the photo above hit the net, dudes were ready to stomp his monkey-ass out like Em in 8-mile, and the racism claims were quick to follow and when the national media got a hold of this story, it EXPLODED. But ... Read More

In early August I was in New York watching the season finale [hopefully the SERIES finale] of ghetto-ass Basketball Wives [as I wrote about HERE]and I remember, during that I episode, hearing something about Jennifer Williams having a divorce party and getting some outlandish cake to celebrate being single and being able to let any frowsy young dude with a ceasar and Puerto Rican accent tear up her nani. Now when I saw that, I assumed it was just some ol' TV-land ... Read More

So I have a story to share with y'all today and I couldn't make this up if I tried. So last week as I was on my way home from a long day's work I ran into some young dudes giving out CD's to try and promote their rap group. Since the CD was free and I didn't have to hear them freestyle in my face at an uncomfortably close range, I decided to pick one up, but I promised myself I ... Read More

So I posted this Facebook status yesterday:
"Ladies, Next Sunday Is Your Opportunity To Show Your Man How Much You Love Him: Give Him QUIET During The Games, A Strip Show During The Commercials And HEAD During Half Time...He Will MORE Than Make It Up To You Mon-Sat"
Many people [men and women] laughed, a few liked the status and replied, and INEVITABLY there were the few ... Read More

Yesterday I had the unfortunate experience of learning about a term called Feminist Rap - and today I REALLY wish I never did. For those of you who have never heard it, let me explain what it is SUPPOSE to be: Rap Music from a female matriarchal perspective that propagates the positives of women and RAGES against the male-dominated and aggressively misogynistic discourse that is a huge "problem" in hip-hop. But what "Feminist Rap" REALLY is, is a term invented by neo-hip ... Read More

As a young west-Indian resident of Toronto, I have been going to Caribana since before I can remember, when my mother would push me around in a stroller on a hot summer day as we all took in the festivities and the sights and sounds that we would have completely missed out on enjoying since Crop Over seemed like a world away. I have GROWN with Caribana and seen it's changes and progression, and like Common to Hip-Hop, I have tried to ... Read More
