Jeremy Lin is just what the Knicks needed (refer to my previous posts). Umm Kobe, Mr. Lin would like to have a word with you. Guess he knows who Lin is now that he dropped 38 and Kobe tried to guard him at times. I hate to be Debbie Downer, but I could see the Knicks resume losing when Melo and Stat return. Stat would benefit greatly from Lin being the pg as he did with Nash in the D'Antoni system, but ... Read More

So with the NBA all-star game around the corner they released the rosters recently. Can't say I'm shocked who made the team especially since it's all about entertainment. The all star game while not as bad as the pro bowl, it is a popularity contest. I mean who doesn't want to see flashy dunks and sneakers (fellow sneaker heads I salute you!) Kevin love got shafted and no disrespect to Blake Griffin but he deserved that starting PF position more than Blake. Unfortunately ... Read More

Last night, after the Giants came from being 8 down to beat the New England Patriots in Super Bowl 46, we all got to witness something VERY special: Eli Manning not only proved he was one of the best QB's in the league [as if he needed the Super Bowl win to do that], but he proved that his name and Tom Brady's will HAVE to be mentioned comparably in the same sentence for the rest of their lives, whether YOU like ... So the inspiration behind the title is the fact that I was stuck out in the “boonies” of Virginia this past week with no television outside of 3 channels and barely any internet. So my comments this week will be brief, but hey I suffered all week. Read More

My absolute favourite team in the NFL is the Oakland Raiders, but since they are LONG eliminated, I have been feverishly cheering for my SECOND favourite team, the Baltimore Ravens, to get back to the Super Bowl and help Ed Reed [the greatest deep safety to ever play in the NFL] get his first ring. Well the Ravens found themselves a field goal away from taking the Patriots to overtime and a possible victory, until the unimaginable happened and kicker Billy Cundiff ... Read More

First I must say wow Lebron’s hairline is gone with the wind. I guess all the greats lose their hair in order to be great. First name “hairline”, last name “Onthebackofmyneck”. Reminds me of when Jasmine Guy went in on Will Smith on an episode of the Fresh Prince, ah good times. Read More

Just when you thought the NFL playoffs couldn't provide a bigger upset than Broncos v. Steelers, we just saw two upsets that definitely rivalled that - but none of them were from Tim Tebow because he got his ASS kicked all day by the Patriots D. Read More

[Ed. Notes] As we all know the NFL season is slowly coming to an end, and now that the NBA has resolved SOME of their labour issues, it's time to start giving a damn about Kobe, Lebron, Durant and them other big-headed negroes. These weekly reviews will be brought to you courtesy of our NBA contributor, Porsha Melcher [ain't a DAMN thing more attractive than a woman who knows sports]. And thankfully Porsha is a diehard NBA fan and great writer - ... Read More

What the F*^K did I tell y'all last Sunday in my Week 17 review?! I said unequivocally THE BRONCOS will beat the Steelers in a close ass game and that's exactly what happened - not in spite of Tebow, but actually in spite of the DEFENCE. Read More

Happy new year TIYC sports fans - but it's a sad day too: Week seventeen A.K.A. the END of the NFL regular season. We still got the playoffs to look forward to, but the fact that we are a serious step closer to NO more football is slightly depressing. But thank GOD for the fact that we had some crazy ass games to look forward including Tebow making the playoffs and the Giants slapping the Cowboys right out the playoff hunt (and ... Read More
