At this point in the season, many teams are either switching into high gear or limping into the playoffs, but regardless, now is this prime time to tune in. We're going to get the much desired basketball we need now that March Madness is over. My world was partly crushed seeing the pain and tears in Kobe’s eyes (he gonna go cry in the car) after he tore his Achilles. I can only hope that this isn’t the end for him and ... Read More

The NBA Playoffs are nearing and the seedings being solidified (except for the 8th seed in the west). Also, the NCAA March Madness tournament is coming to a close tonight. Sorry if your brackets are completely busted at this point, hey that’s why I don’t even bother filling them out because I can never get it quite right. So here’s hoping that the finale is just as exciting and entertaining as it has been since the start. Read More

So it’s been a while, but now I’m back to discuss the NBA. As of late there hasn’t been much going on in terms of exciting news or even games. Everything has played out as expected, with the Knicks cooling off and looking old, the Heat being in the middle of winning 22 straight games, and the Spurs still playing well despite losing TP for a month, as well as getting blown out while sitting starters. But despite that let’s discuss everything ... Read More

In my personal opinion, the San Francisco 49ers, led by coach Jim Harbaugh, will eventually go on to win one [maybe two] Super Bowls and be considered one of the great teams of this decade. But when people look back on the team that beat them in their FRIST Super Bowl in the 2000 and teen's, that team will go down in history as one of the GREATEST teams in NFL History - the 2012 Baltimore Ravens. So Doc said he isn’t writing the obituary on the Celtics season just yet, but even before Rondo went down it was already half way completed. I thought with the depth they have on the team that they would’ve been more competitive, but I was wrong. With the east being weak outside of the top 4 spots, they can still lock up a playoff spot. Whatever they do it has to happen soon because there’s only 3 months left in the season ... Read More

After this Sunday, my faith has been restored in the future of NFL football. As someone who played football on defence, who loves watching great defensive plays (from athletic-ass interceptions to big hits) and as someone who believes defence has been LEGISLATED out of the game by the powers that be, I was glad to see that the two defensive powerhouses overcame their offensive-focused rivals. Right now the NBA has to take a back seat to the NFL playoffs and while my team will not be participating this year (G-men) I am very interested to see what happens since I have no real clue who will win. With that being said, this past week in the NBA has been quite interesting to say the least. The Lakers have lost 5 straight games (including games to the Rockets and my Spurs), the Clippers are rolling again and look ... Read More

If there's one thing I HATE about our society, it's how SELECTIVELY we choose to play judge and jury when people are accused of wrong doing. I don't mean how we come up to our own conclusions based on physical and circumstantial evidence before a verdict is reached in a trial, I mean how the court of public opinion can hold someone hostage AFTER a verdict has been reached. I'm NOT talking about cases where 4 police officers are acquitted after brutally ... Read More

When I was down in Atlanta from mid-to-late December, anytime my television was on you could bet I was watching ESPN. Because I don't get that station in Canada, I made sure to get my FILL of Skip Bayless, Stephen A Smith and my wife, Cari Champion. One of the prevailing topics of the First Take show while I was down there was RG3's health. Robert was steadily complaining to the media about his frustration with the Redskins "mistrust" of his own ... Read More

In the past five years, the Dallas Cowboys have seen this scenario play itself out before: Win your final game of the season against a division rival and you're IN, lose and you're OUT. It happened in 2008 when they lost 44-6 to the Eagles and last year (2011) when they lost to the Giants 31-14. Not only has Romo only won one playoff game in his career, but he has now lost THREE win-and-you're-in games. Is it all his fault? By ... Read More
